The next meeting of South Tees Hospitals NHS Trust takes place in the board room, The Murray Building, The James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, on August 5, at 10.30am.
It is open to the public and everyone is welcome. The trust provides acute health care services from four main sites, The James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough General Hospital, North Riding Infirmary and the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton.
DRESSING UP: A fancy dress competition has been organised by a Stockton store with £25 in vouchers for the best outfit. The contest is taking place at Mackays, in Castle Way, on Saturday. All youngsters who wear costumes will receive a free lollipop and a balloon. The contest will be judged at 3pm.
SHORT WALK: A health walk will take place at Saltburn tomorrow. The 45-minute walk starts at Saltburn Tourist Information Centre at 10.30am. Light refreshments will be available for those taking part. The walk is just over 1.5km and is suitable for children accompanied by an adult. COMPOST OFFER: Residents in Hartlepool are urged to do their bit for the environment by cashing in on a discount home composting offer. Hartlepool Borough Council is offering cut-price compost bins and compost tumblers. All the composters can be obtained from the council's Stranton Nursery, in Tanfield Road. VIDEO LAUNCH: A video will be launched by Hartlepool Social Services on Thursday to improve facilities for people with learning disabilities. The video, titled Having Your Say, aims to encourage feedback from disabled people about services. The launch, at 2pm, takes place at Warren Road Day Opportunities Centre.
TOP CITIZEN: Helen Stockwell has been chosen as citizen of the year in Guisborough for her work with the WRVS and NSPCC. There will be a presentation by the council in September.
