SIX Fijian soldiers based at Catterick Garrison appeared before South Durham Magistrates yesterday accused of violent disorder.
Muly Faianta Narova, 18, Radubentovomo Tokai, 20, Paul Bukavesi, 21, Kiniconi Rairaikula, 22, Samisoni Tikoinasau Tabua, 23, and Jokatamua Vukiduadua, 25, were involved in an alleged incident with five Darlington men last month.
The six men, all originally from Fiji, are training for the British Army at Catterick, in North Yorkshire.
Ian James Ditchburn, 37, of Surtees Street, David Anthony Moscrop, 20, of Birch Avenue, Mark Anthony Jenkinson, 22, of Whitehart Crescent, Stephen Vincent Kavanagh, 22, of Haughton Road, and Peter Thomas Brown, 24, of Riverside Drive, all Darlington, also appeared accused of violent disorder.
The case was adjourned until August 12.
