Under-18s: Haughton, who joined the league this season, were in fine form in their home game with Sedgefield. Batting first, they realised 136 for four and two players made half centuries.
Max Ripley struck one six and three boundaries in 56 and Warren Spark had no fewer than nine fours out of 51. Brown was the pick of the Sedgefield attack with two for 17.
When they responded Sedgefield only managed 74 as Steve Craggs captured three for 25 runs in 4.3 overs and Warren Spark followed up his good performance with the bat by taking two wickets at a cost of 15 runs in four overs.
Etherley hosted Newton Aycliffe and won by eight wickets. Carl McGregor was in excellent all-round form and he led Etherley to a match-winning 108 for two when he ended unbeaten with 62. Adam Lyle was also in good form with the bat for Etherley as he contributed 23 not out.
When Newton Aycliffe made first use of the wicket, they totalled 107 for eight and McGregor claimed four of the wickets for only 21 runs. M Wheeler top scored with 35 and C Wheeler added 22 to the Aycliffe total.
Bishop Auckland had just five runs in hand of Mainsforth. Bishops made first use of the wicket and posted 78 for seven of which Hamish Dissanayke scored 30 while for Mainsforth Ian Thompson took two for 14 and Ryan Wakerwaria two for 17 the pair both bowling five overs.
When they replied Mainsforth went close before the innings ended on 73 for four which included 46 by Steven Sweeney. John Barker took two of the four wickets to fall for 26 runs.
Ushaw Moor overtook the Tudhoe total of 90 for eight with five wickets remaining. Their top performer with the bat was Craig Usher with 46 while Andrew Rafferty added a valuable unbeaten 22. Harry Collinwood was in good form with the ball for Tudhoe, his four wickets costing him just 25 runs.
Batting first Tudhoe ended on 90 for eight with Craig Usher taking three for 21, Darren Gill two for 26 and Andrew Rafferty two for 17 in the Ushaw Moor attack.
Paul Shaw top scored with 55 when Esh Winning realised 89 for two at home to Brandon whose innings produced a total of 85 for four. Jamie Robinson ended unbeaten on 20 and for Esh Winning Scott Dodds took three of the four wickets for 16 runs.
Under-15s
Paul Shaw and Karl Turner were both in superb form leading Esh Winning to a match winning 205 for two at Ushaw Moor. Shaw hit an unbeaten 95 while Turner contributed 54 before Ushaw Moor were all out for 50 as Stuart Hall captured five wickets for a meagre eight runs in five overs.
John Barker took three for 14 and Vivik Vijay three for four restricting Shildon to 66 of which Henderson top scored with 18. Bishop Auckland playing at Kingsway, went on to win by six wickets even though Tweddle proved economical in the Shildon attack picking up two wickets for just five runs.
Etherley had 13 runs in hand of Tudhoe. The home side realised 98 for five and most of the runs came from Adam Lyall with a good half-century, while for Tudhoe Josh Harris captured two of the five wickets to go down for only 13 runs. Replying Tudhoe managed only 85 for five which included 39 from Daniel Petts. Richard Wells had a good night with the ball for Etherley taking four wickets for a mere 17 runs in five overs.
Brandon had just four runs in hand of Crook Town. When they made first use of the wicket Brandon posted 90 for nine which included a top scoring 15 by Jamie Robinson. Lee Formosa was again in good form with the ball for Crook capturing three wickets for seven runs in five overs and Robinson returned two for 18 from the four overs he delivered.
Formosa and Ian Musgrave both scored 20 and raised the hopes of Crook, but in the end the innings produced a total of only 86 for six and Brandon succeeded by a narrow four runs margin. Glen Ramm was in top form with the ball for Brandon taking four wickets for 12 runs in five overs.
