A VIDEO was launched by Hartlepool Social Services yesterday to help improve facilities for people with learning disabilities.
More than 200 people in the town with learning disabilities receive help and support from Hartlepool Borough Council's Social Services department.
The aim of the video, called Having Your Say, is to encourage feedback from people about the services they receive, whether it be compliments, comments or complaints.
People with learning disabilities who use the facilities at the town's Warren Road Day Opportunities Centre have been involved in producing the eight-minute video.
Other people using the services have been involved in helping to design the front cover for the video.
Councillor Cath Hill, cabinet member with responsibility for health and social care, said: "I think the video is a great idea as it encourages and helps people with learning disabilities to air their views about the services they receive.
"If anyone is unhappy with any aspect of our services we want to hear from them so we can put things right.
"At the same time, we also want feedback about parts of the service which they feel work very well."
