A MAGICIAN conjured up some fun for shoppers when they were asked questions by a floating head.
The illusion was the work of North-East magician David Diamond who was performing street style magic at Hillstreet in Middlesbrough.
His wife Angelique played the head, which was made to look like it was floating using flashing lights.
She was able to talk to customers and answer questions from excited children.
"People were going absolutely wild when they saw it because they are not used to things like that," said Mr Diamond, 37, of Northumberland.
"We like to come up with things that are a bit different and this certainly caught people's interest."
Mr Diamond entertained shoppers by throwing cards through windows without breaking them and chewing coins in half as well as making people's watches disappear.
The fun launched a range of summer events at the centre.
The shopping centre will feature magic activities every Tuesday and Friday over the school holidays.
Harry Potter face painting, entertainment from Mr Trix, magic from Jasper and Mr Merlin also feature in the programme of events.
All events are free and are held between 11am and 3pm.
