A SERIES of free talks about guide dogs will be held at libraries across the borough of Stockton this summer.
The talks will be presented by Val Hydes and Robin Winney, from Guide Dogs for the Blind, and focus on the charity's work, as well as providing an opportunity for children to meet guide dogs and find out how they are trained.
The talks take place at: Roseworth Library, on July 29, from 2pm to 3pm; Ragworth Library, on July 30, from 3.30pm to 4.30pm; Stockton Central Library, on August 5, from 2.30pm to 3.30pm; Fairfield Library, on August 6, from 2.30pm to 3.30pm; Egglescliffe Library, on August 19, from 11am to noon; Thornaby Central Library, on August 19, from 2.30pm to 3.30pm; Norton Library, on August 20, from 11am to noon; Yarm Library, on August 20, from 2pm to 3pm; and Billingham Library, on August 21, from 2.30pm to 3.30pm.
Places are limited so anyone interested is asked to book with a member of library.
Children under the age of five must be accompanied and under eight-year-olds must be accompanied to and from the talk.
