Under-18s: Annnfield Plain rose to the occasion when they were required to score 119 runs for victory at Lanchester. Harrison struck three sixes and four boundaries in an unbeaten 50 leading Annfield Plain to a six wickets win. Nick Ridley took two of the four wickets to go down for just 11 runs in two overs after top scoring with 41 out of the Lanchester total of 118 for six. Ridley found the boundary line on four occasions and for Annfield Plain, Harrison claimed three for 17 in five overs.

Shotley Bridge enjoyed a nine wickets victory at Chopwell who made only 73. Rourke was the most successful bowler for Shotley Bridge taking two for 22 in five overs.

After restricting Blaydon to 47 when Steven Moody claimed four wickets for 12 runs in five overs and David Dolan returned three for seven also from a five over spell, Lintz went on to win without losing a wicket. Dolan completed a good match carrying his bat for 29 and Steven Smith added 20 not out.

Burnopfield had 27 runs in hand of Consett. Marcus Peart top scored with 38 and Chris Snowball captured 30 to the home side total of 124 for five. Lawrence Davey added 24 before Consett were all our for 97 of which Lister top scored with 29. Nick Young was in excellent form with the ball for Burnopfield claiming five for 28 runs.

Greenside lost by 40 runs at home to Swalwell. Faced with a target of 137 they managed just 96 for three of which Adam Wilkin scored 28 with four boundaries. Robbie Grant took two for 21 in five overs for Swalwell who, when they made first use of the wicket, realised a healthy 136 for five. Grey recorded a couple of sixes and five fours making 42 and Neavy had no fewer than five boundaries out of 33 while for Greenside, Anthony Scott was the most productive bowler with two for 13 in five overs.

Sacriston defeated Ryton by eight wickets. Phillip Bates had four boundaries in 32 and Joseph Docherty found the boundary line six times carrying his bat for 42 as the two youngsters led Ryton to 94 for two. Martin Hubber then finished with 40 not out, with four boundaries and Andrew Dixon added 25 with three fours when Sacriston replied with 95 for two.

Under-15s

Annfield Plain had eight wickets to spare when they overtook the Ryton total of 106 for four. Adam Phillips carried his bat for 50 and Scott Harrison contributed 24 to the Plain's total of 108 for two. Both the wickets to fall were taken by Foreman at a cost of just nine runs in two overs.

Batting first, Ryton were indebted to Butcher who struck three boundaries in 41 and Thompson whose 31 included a couple of fours. Michael Allen bowled economically for Annfield Plain conceding only 11 runs in five overs for two wickets.

Greenside had seven wickets in hand of Tantobie who they dismissed for just 50. Anthony Scott captured three wickets for five runs and his brother Glen took two for nine while Rob Bell claimed four wickets for just three runs in 3.4 overs for Greenside.

Runs were more plentiful at Blaydon who totalled 133 for one before restricting Crookhall to 107 for five. Andrew Johnson had five fours out of an unbeaten 68 and Michael Banks struck a couple of sixes and two boundaries ending with 38 not out.

Paul Greenwell was a top scorer for Crookhall hitting five fours out of 49 not out and Sullivan added 31 with one six and three boundaries.

Craig Burke was just four runs short of a century for Sacriston in their home game with Lintz. The talented youngster struck no fewer than four sixes and nine boundaries ending undefeated on 96. He shared an unbroken second wicket partnership with Robbie Hockaday whose 58 included one six and five fours.

Sacriston posted 165 for one and Lintz managed only 76 for three which included 33 not out by Gray, with six boundaries. Andrew White top performed with the ball for Sacriston taking two wickets for ten runs in three overs.

Lanchester also score freely visiting Whickham. Cleary had six boundaries in an unbeaten 56 and Harrison added 22 to the Lanchester total of 131 for four. Jeff Bowman returned three for 20 for Whickham and then scored 20 with one six and three fours but the home side were all out for 95 with Harrison taking two wickets for 15 runs in five overs
