Tow Law Coors: The top two teams maintained their good form when both only dropped one point in their matches.
Tow Law New Market A beat their B team when only Tom Hauxwell managed to take a point for the B team, whilst Newhouse Club only dropped one point on their visit to Tow Law Rose and Crown, who had Dorothy Mowbray as their only winner.
Hamsteels Inn left the visiting Tow Law Dan's Castle without a win when they won in the decider. The trebles and the singles were shared. The singles winners for the home side were Alan Hird, Barry Agar and Ron Myers whilst Chris Bowes, Lee Furber and Anthony Hird replied. After the first two doubles were shared Hamsteeels went to victory when Ron Myers and Steve Johnson beat Lee Stockdale and Angela Suddes in the decider.
The only maximum of the week came from K. Starr of Esh McKennas.

Crook 4D's League
Itop of the table clash in the darts section Crook Golden Fleece beat the leaders, Crook Royal Sun by three points to move up to join them as equals in pole position. At the other end of the darts section Crook Coach and Horses A came out on top against Willington Brewer's Droop by the odd point. The leading individual darts scorers were Irene Clark with 121 and Margaret Stewart 125 for the Coach and Horses A.

Crook Ladies League
Marian Hesp hit the first maximum of the season for Crook Queen's Head A and it helped her team beat their hosts at Tow Law New Market B. This result moved the Queen's, last season's champions, seven points behind the leading Crook Jelly's Bar B with a match in hand. The Victoria Club are in second place two points behind Jelly's Bar B.
The other leading individual scorers were Alison Miller 140 for the New Market A, Margaret Stewart 140 and 133 and Marian Hesp 122 for the Queen's Head A, Susan Gibbon 138 for Crook Belle Vue, Yvonne Pybourne 135 for Jelly's Bar A, June Barron 134 for Jelly's Bar B, Karen Moses 132 for the Travellers Rest and Doris Elsbury 127 for the New Market B.

Four-a-side Tournament
A four-a-side darts tournament will be staged at the New Market, Tow Law starting on Friday, 1st August. The match format will be one team game, two doubles and four singles (best of three legs). All matches will be played at the New Market on Friday evenings but consideration of holidays will be given to any players with problems.
The Prize Fund will be £200, whilst the entry fee is £6 per team. Entries can either be made at the New Market or by telephoning 01388 730050 or 01388 730565 and talking to Phil or Carole Spencer. The competition is open to players of any standard from any area.
