SUCCESS at the recent Great Yorkshire Show was the latest triumph in a wonderful season for Anke Robinson and her coloured horse Tintony.
The French-bred gelding by Boir de Isles was first and reserve champion at the Great Yorkshire. He also won his class and was reserve champion at the County Durham Show.
The horse has already taken four championships and three reserves this season and has qualified for the national finals at CHAPS UK, BSPA, Ponies UK and the Royal International at Hickstead.
Mrs Robinson, who lives at Headlam, near Darlington, said: "I had a very good horse called Headlams Rocketeer, who very sadly I have sold. I never thought I would find a horse so similar to Rocky, but I have."
She added: "We are planning to do a few Horse of the Year Show qualifiers towards the end of the season."
Mrs Robinson's husband, Simon, successfully races single-seater cars and is now building a golf course at Headlam Hall, which is owned by his father, John.
