Darlington Building Society NYSD Premier League: Captain David Towse reckons Guisborough have ten cup finals to play between now and the end of the season.

"This is how I see it. We have got to treat every match as a one-off, hopefully win and then prepare for the next one," he said.

"We are just two points ahead at the top of the table and the pressure is going to be on all the contenders in the next few weeks.

"My job is to make sure the lads are up for it which I am sure they are. I have told them that from here on every game is a final."

Today Guisborough meet Blackhall at Fountains Garth and are again unchanged.

"I suppose we are fortunate because barring injuries everybody will be available for the run-in. Two or three players have been away, but the players have now completed their holiday commitments," added Towse, who last week bowled another 25 overs guiding his side into a winning position at Middlesbrough.

It was not all roses though and when six wickets fell for just 61 runs, Johnny May and vice-captain Gary Bolton came to the rescue with a partnership of 110.

Towse said: "Their stand confirmed the depth we have in the side. They got us out of jail and in the end it was a splendid result. We will need everybody to perform to the peak of their ability in the last ten games if we are to retain the championship for a third successive year."

Blackhall have been something of an unpredictable side throughout the summer. They have made some big scores but struggled on other occasions. But they will relish the opportunity to take on the leaders confident in having lost just three times in 16 outings.

With Ricky Darwin unavailable the Colliers promote Dave Penman into a strong line-up. Redcar are just two points adrift of Guisborough and they will be buoyed following last week's magnificent victory over neighbours Marske when Martin Hood and Dulip Samaraweera scored 202 runs for the opening partnership without being parted. More of the same today will surely cause problems for third-bottom Middlesbrough, who have managed only a couple of wins.

Redcar show two changes with Robbie Whelan and Darren Nalton coming in for Andy Weatherill and Shaun McGarry. Boro cannot call upon former captain Danny Evans, but Mark Foster is back and hopefully James Beaumont will also be able to play, which would mean David Aninakwe dropping down into the second XI. Saltburn are also in contention just 12 points off the leaders.

They go to Hartlepool, who make three alterations to their line-up because Jack Wilkinson, Kevin Peake and Ian Jackson cannot turn-out. The trio are replaced by fit-again Andy Holland, Andy Barnard and Jarred Rowsthorn.

Bishop Auckland aim to make it four wins on the trot at the expense of Darlington RA at Kingsway.

"Amul Mazumdar is averaging 70 and more often than not he has held the innings together. After defeating Guisborough, Redcar and Richmondshire in our last three games victory over RA, who defeated us early in the season, would enable us to retain at least fourth place," said cricket coordinator Paul Furby.

Bishops are unchanged while RA are pleased to have Paul Freary and Andrew Russell returning to David Eckels' side. Unfortunately, Mark Eyles is injured and Gary Thompson makes way. Darlington play Marske at Feethams hoping to retain their position in the top half of the table.

Earlier they were up among the title hopefuls, but are now well off the leading pack. Danny Page returns to keep wicket and Philip Buxton is also named ahead of Richard Biddle and Matthew Morgans.

Marske also show a couple of changes with Ian Coverdale, who has recovered fitness and Steve Larkins resuming. Ian Plaice is unavailable so John Plaice is included in the Northallerton side at home to Normanby Hall, who are bottom of the table, 28 points adrift of today's opponents. Thornaby, 19 points better off than Normanby Hall, face a difficult test against Richmondshire even though they enjoy the luxury of being able to select an unchanged XI. With Chris Layfield back, Danny Cartwright drops into the second team. Division One leaders Wolviston go to Normanby Hall with Mark Mullen available to play following an injury which kept him out of last week's line-up.

Marton also show just one change to their side for the home fixture with Guisborough. Paul Gaynon is sidelined, but fortunately, Mark Ditchburn is available and a ready replacement.
