YOUNGSTERS can design their own creepy-crawlies in a new workshop at a North-East attraction.
Children visiting the Life Science Centre, in Newcastle, are creating mega bugs using washing-up bottles, kitchen roll tubes and scraps of paper, all supplied by the venue.
Alison Gwynn, marketing manager at the centre, said: "We've got lots of materials, such as empty pots, sponges and coloured paper. The children just need to add their imagination."
Staff will also help visitors study giant stick insects, ladybirds and beetles, showing what features make insects unique.
The Mega Bugs workshops run from Monday until Sunday, August 3. For further details, contact 0191-243 8210.
