EXTRA cycling lockers will be made available to staff at two Teesside hospitals after North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Trust scooped a £24,000 grant.
The money, from the Department of Transport's Cycling Projects Fund, will be used to fund the trust's Cycling Project which aims to encourage more staff to cycle to work.
In total, 28 new cycle lockers will be installed in September - doubling the number there now.
About ten lockers will be installed at the University Hospital of Hartlepool and 18 at the University Hospital of North Tees, where there is a waiting list for such facilities.
Leaflets about local cycle routes will be handed out.
