PATIENTS visiting the x-ray department at the Friarage Hospital in Northallerton will be better informed thanks to members of the Women's Institute.
Superintendent radiographer Janet Townend and senior radiographer Katy Birch were presented with a cheque for more than £1,000 from the Thornton-le-Beans WI group.
The cash will be used to buy an electronic notice board for the x-ray waiting area, allowing staff to keep patients better informed and up-to-date during their visits.
The money was the final sum raised by the WI from the sale of refreshments to visitors to the department.
