VILLAGERS will have better access to computers, thanks to a £2,500 grant.
Newcastle Building Society Community Fund donated the cash to the Computers For All project at Lanchester Community Centre, near Consett, for a digital projector and a laptop computer.
It will be made available to all groups using the centre, to help guest speakers make professional presentations.
Computers For All, a Dur-ham County Pathfinder project, aims to promote the use of computers.
The equipment is provided free of charge and volunteers are on hand to provide assistance, from 9.30am to 11.30am on Mondays and Thursdays, and Tuesdays, from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.
