A VILLAGE'S summer fair will have a healthy living theme this year.
The fair at Medomsley, near Consett, will feature supervised quad bike riding for children aged four to 12, an It's a Knockout contest and healthy cooking demonstrations by students from Derwentside College.
There will also be side stalls, a raffle and tombola, with health-related prizes ranging from golf at Slaley Hall to a free massage.
The event will take place on the playing field at Bishop Ian Ramsay Church of England Primary School, on Saturday, from 11.30am to 5pm, followed by a family disco from 7.30pm to 11.30pm.
Anyone wishing to enter a team in the It's a Knockout contest is asked to contact (01207) 562983 or 560646.
