FOREST rangers are setting out to ease the summertime blues by creating a month full of adventures for youngsters.
Fun, eco-crafts, games and team building challenges are on offer to children between the ages of eight and 12 when they visit Hamsterley Forest next month.
The adventure starts on August 6 and 7 at Hamsterley, followed by a day out at Wooler Common Woodland Park, Wooler, Northumberland, on August 12.
Chopwell Wood, Gateshead, will be joining in the fun on August 13 and 14, and a trip to Kielder Castle is planned for August 20 and 21.
Activities run between 11am and 2.30pm at all venues and bookings are not required. The cost is £ per child for one day or £5 for two days.
