A TEENAGER fought off a gang of youths who attacked him for his mobile phone and sports kit.
The 13-year-old boy was walking through Doxford Park, Sunderland, on Saturday, when three youths jumped out from behind bushes in City Way.
One of them grabbed the teenager, while a second punched him.
They demanded his phone and sports gear, but the youngster managed to hit one of the boys and escape.
The first was 6ft, about 15 years old and was wearing a black, hooded top with a flaming skull with red eyes on the front, and Adio trainers.
The second was about 5ft 9in and wore a hooded top and baggy trousers with chains. The third was 6ft, with a grey, hooded top with a pig's head on the front. He was carrying a World Industry skateboard with a flaming head design on the front.
