A MAN taken to court for failing to display a residents' parking permit said it would not stick on his dashboard.
Kevin Pashley told Teesside Magistrates's Court that the permit fell off the dashboard three times when he parked outside his home in Diamond Road, Middlesbrough.
He told magistrates that he could not find the correct sized holder to stick it to his windscreen.
Pashley was given a conditional discharge, and was ordered to pay £50 costs, after pleading guilty to three offences of failing to display a resident's parking permit.
