THOUSANDS of classic cars will roll up at one of the North East's historic houses after an absence of eight years.
The Harrogate MG club is celebrating the return of its annual rally to the grounds of Newby Hall, near Ripon, North Yorkshire, next month.
More than 2,000 MGs of all ages and models are expected to make an appearance at the club's 18th event, which will also feature MG traders, parts suppliers, entertainers, bands and an auto jumble sale.
The club, which has links to the national MG Owners Club and the MG Car Club, has about 150 members and an active events programme.
Club chairman Alan Harper said: "We are delighted to be returning to Newby Hall for what promises to be a very popular event."
The rally will be held on Sunday, August 10, from 10.30am to 5pm.
Admission is £5 for adults and £3 for children.
Tickets include entry to Newby's Hall's parks and gardens.
