Workshops are taking place throughout the Stockton Riverside Festival designed to introduce residents to a wide range of new activities.
Henna body painting, line-dancing, African drumming and jewellery making are just a few of the activities taking place at the Workers' Educational Association (WEA) workshops.
The workshops run until today from 11am to 2pm, in the Spiegel tent in Stockton's Parish Gardens. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
Paul McGee, the WEA Tees Valley co-ordinator, said: "This year's festival takes place as the WEA celebrates its 100th year. Founded in 1903, the WEA has made an unique contribution to the social, economic and cultural life of Britain.
"Each year, in a light hearted way, the WEA has run a series of workshops throughout the festival to celebrate cultural diversity and this year is no exception."
l Due to the festival, Tower Street, Stockton will be closed from 10pm to 10.45pm on Sunday, to allow the finale parade to progress to the Riverside.
