POLICE recovered "a substantial amount" of heroin and £2,500 in cash after stopping a vehicle in the North-East.
A 35-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman were arrested and charged with drug supplying offences following the incident in Redcar, east Cleveland, at 8.30pm on Monday.
A 24-year-old man was later arrested in connection with the drugs recovery and has been released on police bail pending forensic results
Detective Constable Danny Oldroyd said: "This is the second large haul of drugs and cash we've recovered in recent weeks, and we are committed to reducing the availability of heroin in the district.
"We are pleased with the information we are receiving from the community and would urge members of the public to continue to ring in with information on drug-dealing in this area."
