A RESTAURANT was so impressed with work experience student Sarah Crowe that she was given a job after only three days.
The teenager, from Queen Mary's School, near Thirsk, did her work experience at the Crab and Lobster at nearby Asenby.
But in her few days there, the 16-year-old showed such enthusiasm and ability that head chef Stephen Dean asked her to return for two days a week throughout the school holidays.
A delighted Sarah said: "I was very pleased to gain some experience at the Crab and Lobster for three days and now that I am employed over the school holidays I am looking forward to gaining so much more.
"This experience will be most helpful for the cookery course that I will study along with my A-levels."
Mr Dean said: "I was delighted with Sarah. After three days of working with us, she showed such enthusiasm in her work and it is a great pleasure to have her working with the kitchen team."
