WHILE most people look forward to putting their feet up after a hard day's work, Katie Petherick cannot wait to start her second job.
The 17-year-old, from Stanley, County Durham, works as a junior secretary at the University of Durham, but spends two nights a week helping her mother, Lorna, run the Quest Club.
The club takes elderly people out of care homes for a couple of hours each week so they can play games and socialise.
Katie said: "I really enjoy helping the elderly and being able to give something back to the community is very rewarding."
Katie is studying for a Modern Apprenticeship in Business Administration.
She is one of 14 young people on a programme offered by the university and paid for by the Learning and Skills Council County Durham.
