COUNCILLORS in the Hambleton district have set out their support for the museums of the area.
The cabinet has called the plan Securing our Future by Promoting our Past.
Cabinet spokesman for leisure and tourism Neville Huxtable said: "The role of the museums in the district is an important one, in terms of contributing to the district's present culture, but it is also important in terms of maintaining our past and educating residents and visitors, both young and old on our local heritage."
The plan will encourage more people to use museums by improving their quality and by increasing their accessibility.
