COUNCILLORS have approved a house extension for the second time - despite being given wrong details in the first application.
The plan for a first-floor extension at a house in Merrybent, near Darlington, was originally granted last year. But it was later discovered by planning officers that the extension was incorrectly represented on drawings put before Darlington Borough Council's planning committee.
The proposal went before the committee again this week with accurate drawings, though the extension has already been built.
Councillor Gerald Lee said it should be refused because of the mistake and because the building was an "overbearing structure".
But the rest of the committee disagreed and approved the plan.
