A GEORGIAN country fair will be recreated in the North-East this month.
The event takes place at Beamish Museum, near Stanley, next Saturday and Sunday.
Typical early 1800s-style entertainers will be performing, including a fire-eater and a Northumbrian piper.
The Squire of Pockerley Manor at the museum will also pay a visit, to keep an eye on the pedlars and tinkers selling wares such as gilded gingerbread and ribbons.
There will also be demonstrations of musket firing and martial skills from the Durham Light Infantry Society and the Hartlepool Marine Society.
For further information, call the museum on 0191-370 4000.
