FANS of brass band music are invited to attend a series of Sunday summertime concerts.
The events - all free - have been organised by Hartlepool Borough Council and take place from 2pm to 4pm.
This Sunday, Murton Colliery Band will play at the Quayside, at the Museum of Hartlepool. A week later, Trimdon Concert Brass Band will play in Ward Jackson Park, Elwick Road, Hartlepool, and on August 31, Gateshead Brass Band will play at the Quayside.
The series finishes on September 7, when Aycliffe and Brancepeth Band play at Ward Jackson Park.
Lesley Strickland, of the council's arts, museums and events service, said: "These concerts are always very popular with people of all ages and have become an annual fixture in the Hartlepool music scene."
