SECURITY cameras could be used to prevent children playing at Darlington Auction Mart.
Concerns were growing last week that youngsters were playing with asbestos materials on the site. They are said to have been breaking into the mart and vandalising it. Concerned parents have alerted the authorities. A borough council spokesman said: "We are going to give the mart management advice and guidance on how to tweak their system to ensure any clean-up operation is done safely. We are also looking at using the closed-circuit television cameras at Bank Top station to monitor the situation."
