POLICE have confirmed they are investigating another death in York.
Andrew Hickox, of Elland, West Yorkshire, was found with serious head injuries in the city's Lower Friargate last month.
He died several days later in hospital, prompting a high-profile police inquiry, which saw officers handing out leaflets appealing for help at the end of last week.
Yesterday, detectives confirmed they were also investigating the death of a man found in St Paul's Terrace, in the early hours of yesterday.
The unnamed victim was pronounced dead at York District Hospital and police said there were no suspicious circumstances.
Nevertheless, asked for anyone who was in the area of St Paul's Terrace at about 1am yesterday to come forward.
Anyone able to help with the inquiry is asked to call York police, on (01904) 631321.
