TWO rescued dogs are looking for homes.
Harvey, a white greyhound, was the most emaciated dog rescuers had ever seen when he arrived at Deerness Kennels, in Langley Moor, near Durham.
Angie, is a small whippet-terrier cross-breed.
Margaret Gardner, from the North-East Greyhound and Lurcher Rescue, said: "Angie has the body of a whippet, with little tiny legs, but she has a big personality - she thinks she is a big dog.
"I have never seen a dog as thin as Harvey when he was taken in. He was in a dreadful, dreadful state, painfully thin. Now he needs someone who can give him a nice home."
Both dogs have been vaccinated and micro-chipped.
The North-East Greyhound and Lurcher Rescue has at least 30 dogs and is looking for volunteers to give them a permanent or temporary home, or to raise money for the organisation.
