A DISPLAY of work by students who have taken part in a range of special courses is on display in Stockton High Street to help inspire others.

The display, by students on Stockton Borough Council's adult education art and craft courses, is mounted in the old Dixons shop opposite the Post Office. It includes paintings, beadwork and soft furnishings.

Margot Wade, arts and craft curriculum manager for the adult education service, said: "The display shows everyone can have a bit of Lawrence Llewellyn-Bowen inside them waiting to get out and students get such fulfilment from seeing their work admired."

The new adult education prospectus can be obtained from The Learning Shop, in Stockton High Street, or by calling (01642) 397363.
