COUNTY DURHAM youngster Scott Carnell has is simply cock-a-hoop after a tremedous season on the badminton circuit.
The 15-year-old has been in great form throughout the campaign and it was capped off in marvellous style when he and his playing partner Perry Cook claimed gold at the
All England U15 standard tournament at the Doncaster Dome in March.
That was just the latest in a long line of successes for the pair, who also won the ESBA North-East in November 2002 at Gateshead.
Carnell, pictured with all his trophies he has collected playing the sport, is a former pupil at Sherburn Junior School and now attends Belmont Comprehensiv.
He has been playing badminton from 11 years of age and he is now regularly reaping the rewards.
Scott is also a member of Durham County Badminton junior squad and also Washington and Durham Seniors club.
When playing doubles matches his playing partner is Perry, who comes from Silksworth and in March this year Scott and Perry were invited to take part in the All England U15 standard tournament.
