A SURVEY carried out by a Teesside shopping centre has shown that the majority of people prefer to shop on a Thursday morning.
Conducted over a two-week period in April with 500 shoppers, the survey was carried out by Middleton Grange shopping centre, in Hartlepool.
A total of 36 per cent of people said they visited the centre more than three times a week, 43 per cent preferred to shop on a Thursday and a further 51 per cent would normally visit the centre in the morning.
The survey also found 46 per cent visited the centre because it is undercover, 44 per cent because they knew their way about and 37 per cent felt it was convenient.
Cormac Hamilton, centre manager at Middleton Grange, said: "The research results have been very useful in that they clearly portray the views and opinions of our shoppers. They also highlight trends and patterns that we will closely monitor to ensure we continue providing the facilities and services our customers want.
"All the information we have collated is very valuable, and it helps us improve our performance for our customers."
