TWO men, who were arrested in connection with the seizure of more than half a million contraband cigarettes at Teesside Airport, have been released on bail.
The pair were held by Customs on Saturday after 529,560 cigarettes were recovered from a flight into the region from Tenerife.
More than 72,000 were abandoned on the baggage carousel, while the rest were seized from 19 passengers on the 6.30am flight into Teesside.
