VOLUNTEERS are needed to complete a Japanese-style garden at a residential home near Darlington.
Dave Kirwan, from the Darlington Lions Club, started the project to provide a fish pond, waterfall, viewing platforms and other features at Rockcliffe Court, in the village of Hurworth.
It is now close to completion but more help is needed, according to Mr Kirwan.
"It is so close to completion that another week should see it off," he said.
"We need some clay digging out and putting on an artificial bank, and we need some soil moving."
Mr Kirwan is also appealing for sand, gravel and other materials to finish the feature.
Anyone interested in helping is asked to telephone him on 07751 641106.
