ARRIVA Trains Northern has weighed in with a £10,000 boost for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance service.
The train operator has become the first company to take advantage of a new corporate giving scheme aimed at keeping the emergency service in the air.
Ray Price, managing director of Arriva Trains Northern, said: "We hope that our support will open the door to similar sponsorship from other companies."
Fundraising director John Sutherland said: "Each call out the air ambulance receives costs £375 and contributions like this from Arriva will help save many lives."
The ambulance charity office can be contacted on 0845 120 6060 for information about how to make a donation.
