A 100-YEAR-OLD fountain which was an original feature of a Victorian park has returned.
The little boy fountain is back in Blackhill and Consett Park after repairs following a vandal attack.
He now has a four-camera CCTV system to watch over him.
His return will be heralded by the African drums of Kakasitsi, musicians from Ghana who were a big hit with crowds at a party to open the park in July last year.
They will play at the Summertime Special event, on Saturday, organised by Derwentside Leisure.
Programme manager Martin Weston said: "Kakasitsi were considered to be one of the most exciting acts on the opening day programme."
The band will also offer drumming workshops for children.
The event takes place from noon until 5pm. Other attractions include the Falcons of Thorp Perrow, near Bedale, North Yorkshire, plus fairground rides, a bouncy castle and arts and crafts.
