A YOUNG man died after losing control of his car on a country road, an inquest heard yesterday.
Graeme Pears, 20, from Britton Hall, Westgate, in Weardale, died when his car failed to negotiate a bend and turned on its side.
There were no other vehicles involved in the accident, which happened in April on the A689 between Westgate and Eastgate.
Kenneth Howe, deputy coroner for Darlington and South West Durham, recorded a verdict of accidental death at Bishop Auckland Magistrates Court yesterday.
