A DALES dairy has proved it is the cream of the crop by scooping another run of awards at the world's largest cheese show.
The Wensleydale Creamery took three trophies at the Nantwich International Show.
The Hawes Dairy won the Les Lambert Trophy for the best Wensleydale cheese in show for the third year in succession.
Another traditional Wensleydale was awarded the Ted Hassall Memorial Trophy for the best farmhouse cheese in show.
The creamery's traditional Cheshire won the Cheese Company Trophy for the best territorial cheese.
In addition, the Hawes cheesemakers also achieved first prizes with their traditional red Leicester, farmhouse Wensleydale and single Cheshire varieties.
The company's double Gloucester and vegetarian Wensleydale cheeses also won prizes at the show, which attracted 2,000 entries from around the world.
Success at Nantwich follows the creamery's successes at the reinstated Great Yorkshire Cheese and Dairy Show, when the Wensleydale cheesemakers won a number of awards.
Wensleydale dairy products chairman John Gibson said: "I am delighted with our continued successes, which I put down to the hard work and dedication of our team in Wensleydale."
