POLICE in Sedgefield are warning drivers to take extra care when passing through the village on Saturday.
An estimated 4,000 visitors are expected at the 150th Sedgefield Show, which will be held throughout the day.
A temporary one-way system will be in place on West Park Lane between 8am and 6pm. A small traffic backlog is anticipated.
A Sedgefield police spokesman said: "We are asking people to be aware of the one-way system and to exercise care and discretion while driving through the village."
Although the aftermath of the foot-and-mouth crisis has meant the cancellation of the show's sheep and cattle classes again this year, there will still be plenty to see. Entries in the horse section are up and the horticultural and small livestock sections look strong.
A new feature for vintage tractors is expected to be popular and there will be a farmers' market, stands, an open dog show and a pet dog race.
Gates open to visitors on show day at 10am, with the grand parade at 3.15pm.
