AN INQUEST has been adjourned pending the conclusion of a murder inquiry into the death of an IT consultant who was found with severe head injuries in a North-East street.
Mark Connorton, 37, died on June 17, nine days after he was found in King Street, Redcar, east Cleveland. Home Office pathologist Dr James Sunter concluded that his death was due to a fractured skull after being hit with a blunt object.
He was the father of a nine-year-old boy and lived at Falklands Close, Marske, Redcar.
Two men have been charged with murder. They are Andrew Evans, 40, of Douglas, Isle of Man, and Ronald Stocks, 37, of Aintree Road, Redcar.
Teesside coroner Michael Sheffield adjourned the inquest until the cases are over.
