A MAN is fighting for his life after being stabbed.
The victim, who has not been named, was last night in a stable condition at Middlesbrough General Hospital, where he was admitted at the weekend.
Police are looking for three assailants who escaped from the scene of the incident in a light-coloured vehicle from Wilson Street, Middlesbrough.
Acting Inspector Beverley Gill, of Cleveland Police, said last night: "Police are appealing for information from people who were in the area and who may have witnessed the incident.
"The persons responsible are described as one white male, one Asian male and one female."
The man was stabbed near the Yorkshire Bank at about 11.30pm on Saturday.
Police believe it was the result of a row which began inside one of the bars and clubs in the area.
Anyone who can assist the police is asked to contact (01642) 303126.
