Middlesbrough councillor Joan McTigue has cancelled surgeries at the Beechwood Youth and Community Centre.
However, she will continue to hold surgeries at the Gleneagles Community Centre on the first Saturday of the month and at the Sutton Centre on Collins Road, on the second Saturday of the month. Councillor Nicola Walker will hold ward surgeries for Hemlington residents at Hemlington library, on Tuesdays from 4.30pm to 5.30pm, not on Thursdays as previously arranged.
WINE RECEPTION: Hartle-pool Partnership, a network of community organisations in the town, will celebrate its achievements with a wine and buffet reception, and interactive displays, at Middleton Grange Shopping Centre at 6pm on Tuesday, September 23. To attend, call (01429) 284147.
ANNUAL MEETING: Redcar and Cleveland Citizens Advice Bureau will hold its annual meeting on Monday, September 1, at 5pm in the Normanby Gallery, South Tees Business Centre, Puddlers Road, Middlesbrough. There will be a light buffet after the meeting.
CLOTHES SALE: Children's nearly new school clothes are on sale at Redcar Indoor Market at the Lord Street Institute, opposite Kwik Save from 10.30am to 2.30pm, on Thursdays during August, to raise money for Korean orphans. Books, photograph restoration, jewellery and refreshments will also be on sale.
PORTABLE ROOM: Teesside High School, in Eaglescliffe, has applied to Stockton Borough Council for planning permission to erect a portable classroom unit.
RAFFLE WIN: Christine Clark, from Thornaby, has won £100 in a raffle held at Asda, in Thornaby, to celebrate the store's 35th anniversary.
