BANK employees spent a day hard at work helping to revamp a dog charity.
A team of 14 people worked at the Jerry Green sanctuary, near Thirsk, as part of the Barclays Employee Volunteering Programme.
The bank paid out more than £1,000 for the materials and equipment needed for the facelift.
The team worked together on various painting jobs and on creating an exercise run for the dogs - allowing the animals to play on grass rather than concrete.
The sanctuary is managed by Chris and Hilary Milnes.
Mr Milnes said: "This is excellent and something we have wanted to do for some time.
"We are a small charity that relies on donations and the money that we do get is always spent on the dogs. As we only have two other members of staff working with us it is an added bonus that Barclays gave us time as well as money."
The bank's community manager for the North-East, Stella McRae, said: "At Barclays we are committed to communities and we are delighted to support the Jerry Green Foundation."
