A LOVING home is being sought for four-year-old Phoebe, a friendly tortoiseshell cat.
She is being cared for by the National Animal Sanctuary Support League, in Darlington, after her previous owners decided they could no longer keep her because of their young son's asthma.
The family tried a range of remedies to try to control their son's allergic reaction before sadly arriving at the conclusion that Phoebe would have to be rehomed.
Pauline Wilson, of the National Animal Sanctuary Support League, said Phoebe was so upset to leave the family that she would not eat for three days.
Anyone interested in giving Phoebe a home is asked to call (01325) 321855 or 07748 268822.
