A DIRECTOR of a Richmond roofing and building business, which failed with debts of more than £200,000, has agreed not to hold directorships or take part in company management for six years.
The undertaking by Anthony George Conway, 37, of the town's Lawrence Crescent, was given in respect of his conduct as a director of Conway Construction (Richmond) Limited, which traded from that address.
He accepted the undertaking, on August 11, which prevents him from being a director of a company or being involved in the promotion, formation or management of a company.
The company was placed into compulsory liquidation at Darlington county court on March 27 2002 on the petition of the Inland Revenue for £57,345 in taxes.
The Insolvency Service said the company had an estimated deficiency of £204,685.
The Official Receiver at Stockton conducted the investigation and disqualification procedure.
Mr Conway did not dispute the matters of unfit conduct, which included allowing the company to trade in spite of its financial situation.
