THE Yorkshire Air Ambulance will land at York Racecourse today to mark a £10,000 donation given to the charity by Arriva Trains Northern.
The Arriva division's commercial director, Dyan Crowther, will hand over the cheque to television presenter Harry Gration, chairman of the ambulance service charity.
Racegoers will see, for the first time, Arriva's name on the air ambulance. A silver-plated model helicopter inscribed to mark the occasion will also be presented.
Arriva has become the Yorkshire Air Ambulance Service charity's first "platinum mission" partner' under a corporate giving scheme.
