TWO unemployed men have been charged with robbery and theft after four alleged incidents in Darlington.
Keith Lupton, of Mallin Road, Darlington, and Geoffrey John Baker, of Hollyhurst Road, both 25, were charged this week.
The charges follow incidents at Bell's Stores in Red Hall, the BP garage in Haughton Road, and Ken Warne's supermarket in Cleveland Terrace. Another incident involved the theft of a Rover Metro car.
Both men appeared before magistrates in Darlington and were remanded in custody until their next court appearance on Tuesday, police said.
