Roy Lingley, 76, of the Fallows, Cockfield, appeared before Bishop Auckland magistrates yesterday charged with harassing neighbour Raymond Watson by depositing animal excrement on the front garden and footpath of his house.
The case was adjourned until September 3.

DRIVING BAN: Brian Hutchinson, 44, of The Centre, Evenwood, was banned for driving for a year by Bishop Auckland magistrates yesterday after he admitted drink-driving. The court heard he had 98 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 80mg. He was was also fined £100.
