RESIDENTS and youngsters from the Mandale Estate in Thornaby are joining forces next week for a litter-pick.
Mandale Association of Residents has organised the litter-pick and has enlisted the help of youngsters.
Stockton Borough Council's new mascot Freda the Frog will also be helping out to further spread the message of responsible behaviour when it comes to litter and recycling.
The litter-pick will take place on Mandale Estate on Friday, August 29, from 10am to 11.30am and Stockton Borough Council has donated litter pickers and gloves for all the volunteers taking part.
Christina Large, from the group, said: "We decided to set up the litter-pick during the summer holidays to give the children something to do.
"We also wanted to help encourage them to keep the estate clean, both now and after its regeneration."
